BMW 328 Hommage oncorso dEleganza Villa dEste 2011


On the show "Concorso dEleganza Villa dEste in 2011," held May 20 to 22 and then in Italy, the manufacturer of cars and classic car owners show off their vehicles. Even the two principals of Europe, namely Aston Martin Zagato shows the concept of sports sedans and the BMW V12 carrying 328 Hommage.

BMW 328 Hommage without a roof with two seats were created to greet the 75th anniversary of the BMW 328 race car that has performance as the holder of the highest average speed in the Circuit Mille Miglia, Italy. "With the Hommage 328, we wanted to pay homage to the spirit and the father of the creator 328. They created an icon which is considered as a milestone in the history of the car," said CEO of BMW Group Classic Karl Baumer.

The model is now based on the roadster study Vision ConnectedDrive is already displayed in Geneva. For the display looks retro and futuristic impressed, BMW designers took certain elements from the original 328 model.

Like the slim design, dual vertical grille, leather strap over the hood, style wheels, dual front glass with coakan in the middle, and the doors that mimic the model 328.

Most of the exterior and interior are made of plastic material reinforced with carbon fiber so that BMW claims the car is very light and more stable than aluminum. Looking interior, two seat has a touch of retro. The material used for interior including carbon fiber, leather, and aluminum.

From beneath the hood, sitting heart pacemaker with a capacity of 3.0 liter inline six. Material from carbon fiber reinforced plastic which is also used on the BMW M6 and M3 models.
