2012 Renault Fluence Z E Reviews

2012 Renault Fluence Z.E reviews and rumors Buyers will also lease the batteries with prices set at £ 75 (U.S. $ 120) per month based on 6,000 miles / 3 years. Standard features include alloy wheels of 16 inches, climate control, cruise control, Eco Drive Monitor and Tom-Tom LIVE Carminat satellite chip and charge connectors on both front fenders.

Renault Fluence Z.E. It’s based on a conventionally powered saloon that Renault sells in other countries called the Fluence. The Fluence costs £17,850 after you’ve deducted the UK government’s £5,000 subsidy for electric cars which ends in March 2012.
Renault Fluence Z.E

The press release adopts a rather stern tone reminding you that “when you purchase your Fluence ZE, you don’t actually buy the battery in the car. This remains the property of Renault via RCI Financial Services.”

The official combined range is 115 miles. However, Renault claims it could be as high as 125 miles or as low as 50 miles. And if you want an extra recharge point installed (perhaps at your office), Charge master will bill you an extra £799 for the privilege. Some countries also offer the option to swap your depleted batteries for a fully charged set. We’re also told that the Fluence has a smart feature which limits the speed of the car when the battery is close to dying.

The electric motor produces 70kw which is equivalent to 94bhp. The Fluence range is a few miles higher and it costs £8,000 less than the Leaf. At least the Fluence stands out given that the conventionally powered model isn’t sold in the UK.

At launch there will only be 20 Renault dealers who can service the Fluence. Renault estimates that electric vehicles will account for 10 per cent of the world market by 2020. As the C segment’s first production saloon electric vehicle, Renault Fluence Z.E. targets motorists and fleet operators who are looking for a status-enhancing vehicle that is both economical to run and respectful of the environment.

Renault Fluence Z.E. will be manufactured at the OYAK-Renault factory in Bursa, Turkey, on the same production line as the internal combustion engine-powered versions of Fluence. As the compact segment’s first three-box electric vehicle, it was imperative that Renault Fluence Z.E. should be recognizable at first glance. To distinguish it from the internal combustion engine-version, it comes with a package of specific features and details that unmistakably associate it with Renault’s electric vehicle range.

At the front, the Renault logo, fog lamp surrounds, headlamp brows and lower part of the headlamp mask are all picked out in a blue-hued color. Renault Fluence Z.E.’s lines are taut and fluid, while the rear quarter panels have been harmoniously extended in order to absorb the additional length resulting from the longer rear overhang. The design of the rear lights, which extend forward either side of the car, also contributes to the overall balance of Renault Fluence Z.E.’s lines. Several body colors are available, including Energy Blue, a new color that is specific to Renault’s electric vehicle range.

Renault Fluence Z.E. is conclusive proof that electric vehicles do not have to be small, narrow and uncomfortable city cars with a limited touring ability.Renault Fluence Z.E.’s interior is based on the same layout as the internal combustion-engine version. Renault Fluence Z.E. targets families looking for a spacious, comfortable vehicle, and total boot space amounts to 300dm3 (VDA/ISO). The electric version of Renault Fluence is likely to figure on the shopping list of many fleet operators thanks to its low running costs.

2012 Hyundai Equus Reviews

2012 Hyundai Equus
2012 Hyundai Equus
2012 Hyundai Equus hits dealerships this summer. Not so long ago, Hyundai was shot for the moon to develop a lineup with the rear-wheel-drive Genesis - a car that is meant to emulate the middle-luxury cars like the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class for less money than a good sedan. Power rear window glasses to the side which is now part of the Ultimate trim level features.

The Hyundai Equus resembles a larger, bejeweled Genesis; its probable that passers-by will mistake the two. Although the Hyundai Equus shares its cohorts platform, it measures 7.2 inches longer. 2012 Hyundai Equus has 5.0-liter cylinder bore was increased from 92 mm to 96 mm for a total displacement of 5.0 liters (5,038cc).

Most notably, the 2012 Equus will now feature Hyundai’s most powerful engine ever, the new direct injection 5.0-liter Tau V8 engine.

2012 Hyundai Equus is the third rear-wheel-drive product in Hyundai’s lineup and boasts an excellent 52/48 front-to-rear weight distribution for exceptional handling and more refined steering characteristics. 2012 Equus reduces interior noise levels and improves ride and handling with a stiff, light-weight body structure. The design of the 2012 Hyundai Equus is handsome and pleasing to the eye. 2012 Hyundai Accent Reviews

2012 Hyundai Accents
2012 Hyundai Accents
2012 Hyundai Accents are two versions. Which pair is better than 5-door hatch, a spacious and versatile? While the Accents nose is one of a batch that looks weak, from there to the work of both rear 5-door. Together with a strong current line-up, the previous Accent was ashamed blight on various company products, and competition from the Ford Fiesta, Honda Fit and Toyota Yaris means Hyundai Accent will need to ensure next is the winner right from the start.

Exterior
Fiesta accent seems to be very similar, such that in her rearview mirror, we often thought to rival States. Upon closer examination, have the entire Hyundai styling cues, along with details such as lights and grille similar to the larger Elantra. However, Hyundai Accent seems to be larger than the dimensions suggest a factor that will help reduce the stigma of fun to drive sub-compact.

Inside
Hyundai Accent interior is always getting better. You can still see where the money deposited is always in some materials, but the design and layout of gauges and controls are logical Accent attractive and easy to use ... more in a number of more expensive machines. 2012 Hyundai Accent interior is much simpler than the Fiesta, the lack of integration of SYNC and give a little more intuitive buttons and controls. Hyundai confirmed that the interior is a "premium" offer because "piano black" trim smattered around the cockpit, and we honestly could not help raise our shoulders.

Performance
The new Hyundai Accent gets a sophisticated machine. Hyundai has a direct injection engine in the 1.6-liter four-cylinder, good for 138 horsepower. Its a lot of strength in this segment. And it will be class-leading EPA-estimated highway miles 30/40 mpg city / when it works well as a standard six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. Significantly exceed the current competition, but the same as the 1.4L turbocharged engine that will come Chevrolet Sonic - even though the car was musters significant lb-ft of torque from 148. Unlike the rest of the competition, Accent will provide 30-mpg in the city and 40-mpg

There are two things that came first and the second is on the way and the level the sound. When use the manual six-speed automatic features I was testing. A number of cars in this class have a characteristic or hill start assist, which is standard on automatic models. Not much that four quiet, but polite isolated from the interior, which has about the same effect. We hope that these guidelines are somewhat more precise shifter.

Interior Cargo
Such as performance and design of the exterior, the inside, even reminded me of a more substantial vehicle. The whole fabric, buttons and panels from quality plastic. Textured dashboard and sleek design and futuristic look. Another interesting point is less like a room for cargo and the number of interior points too high for the Accent, with some rather inexpensive both available at Hyundai. The company said that the Accent offers more cargo room than the Nissan Juke and interior volume greater than the Audi A4; no small feat for a vehicle with the footprint is quite minute.

The decision to choose
If you think subcompact, the Hyundai Accent is an attractive product at the right price and equipped with features that consumers gravitating toward droves. But rather than sell on price, or "just good enough" to make the cut, the Accent is a legitimate competitor in the field, something that could be considered to be the vehicle of choice in the segment that will be more important and more because of rising gas prices and declining personal wealth

Price
The price Hyundai Accent at or slightly below those of the competition, ranging from $ 12,445 for the 4-door with manual transmission and suppress the ceiling $ 16,795 with full-out SE 5-door automatic. And, do not forget easily the best guarantee class accent.

Competitors
Strong competition can come up with a Kia Rio - a stock car with a Hyundai Accent 2012 most fundamental, but can end up just a little more retail.

2011 Toyota Tacoma Reviews

True compact trucks are almost extinct in the U.S. market. The Toyota Tacoma is one of them.
Regular Cab, Access Cab, and Double Cab editions of the Toyota Tacoma are offered, with standard or long-bed (LB) lengths, with four- or six-cylinder engines, and they all have the same styling, albeit with different levels of stretch for the cab and bed.

Overall, ride and handling are a little disappointing in the Toyota Tacoma—even among pickups, which typically do trade off some ride comfort and nimbleness for heavy-hauling ability. The Tacomas payload is well into the 3/4-ton category, depending on the model, and its tow rating goes up to 6,500 pounds.

Compared with full-size trucks, the Toyota Tacoma disappoints for interior roominess and seating comfort, but compared with other mid-sizes like the Nissan Frontier its competitive. The 2011 Tacoma model line covers a wide range of needs in base form, especially if youre willing to add a few options, but two specialized models, the PreRunner and X-Runner, are focused for tough terrain and look the part.

For 2011, the Toyota Tacomas four-cylinder engine is a more practical choice now that its available with an automatic transmission. Air-conditioning is now standard on every Tacoma, while all but Regular Cab 4x4 models get bucket seats.

The 2011 Toyota Tacoma is a midsize pickup offered in Regular Cab, Access Cab (an extended cab with small rear-hinged doors) and Double Cab (crew cab with four full-size front-hinged doors) configurations. Both Regular and Access Cabs are joined to a 6-foot bed. All Toyota Tacoma body styles are available in either two- or four-wheel-drive form. As the base model, the lightly equipped Toyota Tacoma Regular Cab is ideal as a work truck; it actually has more standard amenities than other bare-bones pickups. When equipped with four-wheel drive and an automatic transmission, the Regular Cab gets front bucket seats. The Access Cab gains power locks and windows, upgraded cloth upholstery, front bucket seats, a rear bench (includes under-seat storage) and two more speakers. The Toyota Tacoma Double Cab adds 16-inch steel wheels, a front skid plate and driver lumbar adjustment.

The Convenience package adds power mirrors, keyless entry, cruise control, a sliding rear window and steering-wheel audio controls. The TRD Off-Road package includes 16-inch alloy wheels, fender flares, a heavy-duty suspension, a locking rear differential, skid plates and sport seats. The on-road-oriented TRD Sport package includes 17-inch alloy wheels, a hood scoop, a sport suspension and sport seats.

The 2011 Toyota Tacoma is available with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. A five-speed manual transmission is standard on the Regular and Access Cabs, while a four-speed automatic is optional on those cabs and standard with the Double Cab. When properly equipped, the Toyota Tacoma can tow 6,500 pounds.
Toyota Tacoma

Standard safety equipment on all 2011 Tacoma’s includes stability and traction control, antilock brakes (disc front, drum rear) with brake assist, front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags and front active headrests. For better or worse, the 2011 Toyota Tacoma drives like a proper pickup truck.

Other changes include the addition of turn-signal lamps in the side mirrors and available chrome-clad 18-inch wheels on the TRD Sport Package.
Access Cab models offer a new available six-speaker system with an AM/FM/ satellite radio-capable head unit with a single-disc CD player.

Buyers of 2WD models and off-road aficionados will appreciate the standard automatic limited-slip differential. Downhill Assist Control (DAC) helps to keep the shiny side of your Toyota Tacoma up.
All Access Cab models (extended cab, with rear-hinged rear half-doors) will come with power windows and locks and a rear seat with under-seat and central storage areas. Fresh seat fabric gussies up the interior in SR5 trims, while Regular cabs make do with a front bench seat for three-passenger seating. A back-up monitor for Access and Double Cab models is also available.

The Toyota Tacoma is available in up to 18 different configurations, based on three cab types: Regular Cab, Access Cab, and Double Cab. Power hits the pavement with P215/70R15 tires on steel wheels or P245/75R16 wheels on styled steel wheels, which are exclusive to the 4x4 and PreRunner models.

X-Runner street performance package
Toyota has seen fit to offer four different transmissions depending on which type of engine you select. The Pro package adds a TRD cat-back exhaust system and is only available on V6-powered models.

Hyundai Eon Reviews

Hyundai Eon
Hyundai Eon
Hyundai’s all-new small car known until now by its codename HA will be called Eon. Hyundai Eon, which means an indefinitely long period of time suggests that this car, which is likely to replace the 13-year old Santro, is slated for a long innings in India too.

Powered by a small 814cc petrol engine, Eon small car will take on the highest selling car in India, Maruti Suzuki Alto. Hyundai Eon will be priced between Rs 3.2 lacs to Rs 3.5 lacs which is approximately Rs 20,000 lesser than the cheapest Hyundai car currently available in India (Santro). This brings Hyundai Eon in the price range of Maruti Alto.

From the front Hyundai Eon looks like the smaller Fluidic Verna. Exterior dimensions of Hyundai Eon are 3495 mm X 1625 mm X 1535 mm (L X B X H).

Hyundai Eon will have a decent combination of silver accents, black and beige plastic on dashboard. Hyundai Eon will offer an ARAI certified mileage of 21.1 kmpl which is more than Maruti Alto offers (20.2 kmpl).

The front fiasco has a shade of the Hyundai’s hexagonal grille up front and eye catchy floodlights with the chrome.New car launches are determined on the basis of the long-term outlook on a market. "Eon is the best bet for Hyundai to increase sales after relatively sound success of its smaller cars like Santro," said a Mumbai-based auto analyst.

The wheelbase is similar to the likes of other small car contemporaries with measurement of 2380mm. The windscreen is on the steeper side and shorter as well.

The Hyundai Eon has a three-cylinder copy of the Santro IRDE engine. In terms of the road presence for a small car it seems to stand up and deliver quite well. The Eon is an eagle at chicanes. The alternator management system, light weight and efficient engine of the Hyundai Eon make the car have a petrol thirst for once in every 21.1kpl.

2012 Nissan Altima Reviews

2012 Nissan Altima
2012 Nissan Altima
2012 Nissan Altima Reviews-Nissans midsize Altima is available in both coupe and sedan body styles. The coupes powertrain offerings are similar to the sedans, but the coupe has unique styling elements. The coupes main competitor — the Accord coupe — is larger overall.

There are many advantages to owning the 2012 Nissan Altima. Not a lot is new with the Nissan Altima. The 2012 Nissan Altima is available in three trims: 2.5, 2.5 S and 3.5 SR. The upscale 3.5 SR trim adds a sport-tuned suspension, a V6 engine, a sunroof, mirror-mounted turn signal repeaters, dual-zone automatic climate control, 17-inch alloy wheels and heated side mirrors. The Technology package adds digital music storage, a hard-drive navigation system and Bluetooth.

The 2012 Altima is a front-wheel drive vehicle. Two engines are available. All Altima sedans come standard with a continuously variable transmission or CVT. The 2.5 Altima with a CVT transmission has a fuel economy rating of 23 mpg in the city, 32 mpg on the freeway and 27 mpg combined; the 3.5 Altima with a CVT has a fuel economy rating of 20/27/23 mpg.

Even without the Technology package, though, the Altima is a nice enough vehicle. In terms of roominess and comfort, the 2012 Nissan Altima fares pretty well. At 15.3 cubic feet, the trunk on the Altima is wonderfully roomy. Coupe versions of the Altima have trunks that offer just 8.2 cubic feet of space.

The 2012 Nissan Altima has fared quite well in government crash tests. It comes standard with traction control, stability control, side curtain airbags that cover rows, antilock brakes and front seat side-impact airbags. All in all, the 2012 Nissan Altima is a very nice car for the money.

The Altima is available as a practical sedan or a sporty coupe. Coupe versions of the Altima are lower and shorter, and feature unique styling that really set them apart from their more serious sedan siblings. Under the hood, both the coupe and sedan share two engine options: a 175-horsepower, 2.5-liter four-cylinder and a 270-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 that comes with the 3.5 SR trim. The Altima sedan features an Xtronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) with manual mode, although coupe versions are also available with a six-speed manual for a more engaged driving experience.

For those who like to carry their music with them wherever they go, the Altima can be outfitted with a Music Box hard drive that stores over 9 GB of music.

The 2012 Nissan Altima takes safety seriously with an electronic stability system, antilock brakes, six airbags, and traction control all standard. The NHTSA gave the Altima four-stars overall for its performance in crash tests.

2011 Chevrolet Traverse Reviews

Chevrolet Traverse
Chevrolet Traverse

The Chevrolet Traverse sports the same stacked grille as the redesigned Chevy Malibu the Chevrolet Traverse won’t help you traverse rugged, barren landscapes, but it will comfortably haul up to eight people in style.

While the "Chevrolet Traverse" is a good all-around crossover, reviewers are particularly excited about its standard third-row seat, which seats adults comfortably. The 2011 Chevrolet Traverse was named The Best Midsize Crossover for the Money by U.S. News and World Report and TrueCar.com.

Because the Chevrolet Traverse competes in a large and competitive class, you can find other options that cost less. The Ford Flex gives the Traverse some stiff competition when it comes to style and interior comfort. The Chevrolet Travers shares a platform with the GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave.

Aside from the audio systems relocated USB input and the addition of heated cloth seats to the options list for LT models, the 2011 Chevrolet Traverse remains largely unchanged.

Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options
The 2011 Chevrolet Traverse is a large crossover SUV available in LS, LT and LTZ trim levels. Select the 2LT package and youll get all that plus tri-zone automatic climate control, a 10-speaker Bose system (with USB port), rear audio system controls, seven-passenger seating (featuring second-row captains chairs), a power lift gate and a rearview camera integrated into the rearview mirror.

The Chevrolet Traverse LTZ ups the luxury ante with 20-inch wheels, leather upholstery, heated and ventilated power front seats (with driver memory settings), Bluetooth connectivity and remote ignition. In our performance testing, a Traverse LT2 posted a sufficiently quick 0-60-mph time of 8.6 seconds.

EPA fuel economy estimates for the front-wheel-drive Chevrolet Traverse are 17 mpg city/24 mpg highway and 19 mpg combined. All-wheel-drive Traverse models are very close at 16/23/19 mpg. Properly equipped, the Chevrolet Traverse can tow up to 5,200 pounds.

Safety
Antilock disc brakes, traction and stability control, front seat side-impact airbags and side curtain airbags for all three rows are all standard on the 2011 Chevrolet Traverse, as is one year of GMs On Star service, including turn-by-turn navigation and hands-free phone connectivity. Depending on which trim level you choose, the interior offers seating for either seven passengers with the second-row captains chairs or eight with the 60/40-split-folding second-row bench seat. Theres also plenty of room for stuff, including 24.4 cubic feet of cargo room behind the third-row seat.

2012 Camry Reviews

2012 Camry
2012 Camry
The 2012 Camry is all-new. Rated at 22/33-mpg last year, the new Camry manages a 25/35-mpg rating. That’s identical highway mileage to the previous class-leader, the Hyundai Sonata, but represents a 3-mpg advantage in the city.

Helping SE models hit the mark is a beautiful interior, with the optional (but must-have) leather and ultra suede combo on the seats, plus a stitched leather dash top. A new suspension geometry is designed to improve handling, while also increase the car’s stability.

Perhaps the single largest factor in modernizing the Camry is the new Display Audio system that’s standard on all but the entry-level L and LE Hybrid models. This WIL (Whiplash Injury Lessening) seat is just one of many safety features on the Camry, including a “Smart Stop” brake override system, the expected stability control, traction control and tire pressure monitoring systems, plus 10 airbags. In addition, Toyota is also offering a Blind Spot Monitoring system.

The model we’ve yet to touch on is the Camry Hybrid, which easily represents the most significant improvement over its predecessor, and for good reason. The previous Camry Hybrid was first eclipsed by the Fusion Hybrid and then by the Sonata Hybrid, but this latest version shows Toyota’s expertise in blending gasoline and electric technology, delivering a 43/39-mpg fuel economy rating, with an average of 41-mpg. That change? A larger displacement engine. Using a 2.5-liter 4-cylidner, mated to Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy Drive system it not only gets those class-leading fuel economy numbers, but delivers solid acceleration with 200-hp on tap.

There’s a lot to like about the SE model, but if you’re looking for fuel economy without compromises, it’s easy to see that the Camry Hybrid could become the daily driver of choice for the average American car buyer. It’s no revolution, just a solid improvement on an already great car – although Toyota can at least lay claim to being a fuel economy leader. Plus, there’s that excellent hybrid model, which could be the deciding factor in helping the Camry hit the top sales goal for 10 straight years.

The 2012 Toyota Camry is fully redesigned. The 2012 Toyota Camry doesnt aim to find out, either. For one thing, the 2012 Toyota Camry offers improved versions of last years engines: a respectably powerful 2.5-liter four-cylinder and a 268-horsepower 3.5-liter V6. Theres also a Camry Hybrid, covered in a separate review.

Suspension improvements have been made to enliven the Camrys handling dynamics. The 2012 Toyota Camry will be offered in L, LE, SE and XLE trim levels. The Camry LE adds auto headlamps, remote keyless entry, steering-wheel-mounted audio and Bluetooth controls and the six-speaker Display Audio system featuring a 6.1-inch touch screen.

The SE includes a sport-tuned suspension, 17-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, heated exterior mirrors, unique interior and exterior styling treatment, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, sport seats and the Display Audio system. SE V6 models get the upgraded Display Audio system that adds navigation, HD radio, satellite radio, voice recognition and Entune smartphone and Web integration.

XLE V6 models get a rearview camera, auto-dimming rearview mirror, leather upholstery and heated driver and front passenger seats. A premium 10-speaker JBL audio system integrated with a 7-inch touch screen hard-drive-based navigation system is also optional on XLE V6 models.

The 2012 Toyota Camry is offered with a choice of two engines. Both engines drive the front wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission. Toyota says the four-cylinder will return an estimated 35 highway mpg, while the V6 -- with nearly 100 more hp -- will achieve 30 mpg on the highway.

The 2012 Toyota Camry comes with a battery of standard safety features, including antilock brakes with brake assist, stability control, front- and rear-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, and knee airbags for driver and passenger, the latter new for 2012. Inside, the Camrys cabin feels slightly roomier. Among other amenities, top Camry trim levels get an eight-way power driver seat, while all Camry models now offer a 60/40-split fold-down rear seat.

Weve only had the opportunity to briefly drive the new 2012 Toyota Camry.

2012 Honda Pilot Reviews

Honda Pilot is a spacious, efficient mid-size crossover. Honda delivered on its promise of offering the most fuel-efficient eight-passenger crossover; with the new Pilot netting an 18/25 mpg rating for two-wheel drive models (4WD-models return 17/24 mpg). The 2012 Honda Pilot comes in four different trim levels, including the LX, EX, EX-L and Touring.

The EX adds a tri-zone automatic climate control system, a power drivers seat with 10-way power adjustment, a security system, XM Radio, body-colored side mirrors and door handles, alloy wheels, roof rails, fog lights, an exterior temperature indicator, and a Home Link Remote System, and more. Additional EX-L features include leather-trimmed seating surfaces, heated front seats, a 4-way power front passengers seat, a one-touch power moon roof, an automatic-dimming rearview mirror and the availability of either the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System or the Honda DVD Rear Entertainment System with a 9-inch screen. The Honda Pilot EX-L with Navigation adds an upgraded navigation system with a higher VGA resolution replacing the previous QVGA display and an internal hard drive that replaces the previous models DVD-based system. The top-of-the-line Pilot Touring includes the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System with rearview camera, a premium audio system with 10 speakers, the DVD Rear Entertainment System, two-position memory seats, roof rails, corner and backup sensors and side-mirror integrated turn indicators.

The Honda Pilot protects its occupants with three-row side curtain airbags with a rollover sensor, drivers and front passengers side airbags, active front seat head restraints and anti-lock brakes with electronic brake distribution and brake assist. Vehicle Stability Assist, Honda speak for electronic stability control, is standard on all models.

2012 Honda Pilot

Although proprietors lover their vehicles, the actual 2011 Honda Pilot has a few shortcomings. Fuel economy isn’t great, either, with the Pilot managing just 17 mpg town and 23 mpg highway. Inside design modifications focus on instrument panel refinement and a much more intuitive switch design. With regard to 2012, sound system updates upon Honda Pilot EX and EX-L versions include a 2 GB CD-Library (CD-L) and Bluetooth Audio Streaming, combined with the addition associated with Wireless Bluetooth HandsFreeLink to people trim amounts. Thanks to a few small changes inside, outside and under the hood for 2012, the Honda "Pilot" remains a top performer among large SUVs with three rows of seats. The Pilot starts at $28,470 for the LX trim level and also comes in EX, EX-L (the L is for leather) and Touring trim levels.

The Honda Pilots enhancements for 2012 prove that little things mean a lot. The smaller Kia Sorento is rated 20/26 mpg (22 mpg combined). The all-wheel-drive Pilot rates 17/24 mpg (20 mpg combined). It also has a feature we found critical in this SUV class: sliding second-row seats. That being said, the Pilots third row isnt the easiest to get into overall. We were thrilled to see that three child-safety seats fit in the second-row seat. Our test Pilot EX-L had quality leather in the first two rows (vinyl in the third), and the front seats provided notable comfort.

The Pilots boxiness pays off once again in the cargo hatch. The Highlander, which is shorter than the Pilot, beats it with 95.4 cubic feet of maximum volume but is tighter behind the third row, with just 10.3 cubic feet.
Having 2,000 pounds of towing capacity with front-wheel drive and 4,500 with all-wheel drive, the Honda Pilots limits are on the higher side of SUVs in this class. Heavier, rear-wheel-drive models, such as the Dodge Durango, tend to have higher towing capacities.

In Insurance Institute for Highway Safety testing, the Honda Pilot earned the top score of Good in frontal, side and rear crash tests. The Pilot has frontal airbags, front-seat-mounted side-impact airbags and curtain airbags that cover the side windows along all three rows of seats in a side impact or rollover. As is federally required of all 2012 models, the Honda Pilot has standard antilock brakes and an electronic stability system. All Pilots have power windows, with one-touch up/down for the front doors, and power locks with remote keyless entry. New for 2012, the Pilot EX adds Bluetooth hands-free cellular and audio streaming and 2 gigabytes of digital music storage.

The Honda Pilot Touring includes leather, the navigation system and the rear entertainment system, plus it adds a few more features, including drivers seat-position memory, sonar parking sensors, and a premium stereo with additional speakers. To select a trim level and compare features,

2011 Mazda Miata Reviews

Mazda Miata
Mazda Miata

2011 Mazda Miata Reviews-The Mazda Miata remains available in two models: a soft-top roadster and a Power Retractable Hard Top model. Inside, the Mazda Miata feels basic but cheerful, with exactly the layout youd expect for a classic sports car. The Mazda Miata handles like a go-kart at low speeds and shows a surprising degree of poise for higher track speeds.

The standard soft top is easy to use and surprisingly weather-tight. Standard equipment, at least in terms of comforts, is about on par with that of budget-conscious small cars; features on all models include power windows, power mirrors, a CD player, and tilt steering. Mazda Miata Touring models include upgraded wheels and tires, a trip computer, keyless entry, and cruise control, while Grand Touring models add leather trim, heated seats, and automatic climate control, among other features. Options include the six-speed automatic, Sirius Satellite Radio, steering-wheel audio controls, and a sport suspension.

The 2011 MX-5 Miata doesnt change one whit compared to last years model. As you can probably tell, we think rather highly of the 2011 Miata. The 2011 Mazda MX-5 Miata is a two-seat roadster that is offered in three trim levels: base Sport, well-equipped Touring and premium Grand Touring. In Sport trim, standard features include 16-inch cast-aluminum wheels, a black vinyl convertible top with a glass rear window, air-conditioning, cloth seats, a six-speaker sound system with a CD/MP3 player and an auxiliary audio jack, a height-adjustable driver seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and power windows and mirrors.

Touring and Grand Touring models can enhance the Mazda Miatas already nimble handling with the Suspension package (only available with a manual transmission), which includes a sport-tuned suspension with Brillstein shocks and a limited-slip differential. Also available this year is the limited-production Mazda Miata Special Edition. Its essentially a Grand Touring PRHT with the Premium package and, if its a manual transmission, the Suspension package. The Mazda Miata Special Edition also includes unique exterior and interior colors.

The 2011 Mazda Miata is powered by 2.0-liter inline-4 engine that produces 167 hp (158 with the automatic transmission) and 140 pound-feet of torque. Sport models come standard with a five-speed manual transmission, while touring and Grand Touring models come with a six-speed manual transmission. The six-speed manual and automatic sacrifice only 1 mpg in city mileage.

Stability control is available as an option on the Grand Touring model only, however. As always, this Mazda Miata features simple, legible gauges along with well-placed, user-friendly controls.

Drivers with less sporting intentions should still find the 2011 Mazda MX-5 Miata easy to live with and comfortable for long stints in either top-up or top-down mode.

The Mazda Miata is available with a manual soft-top roof or a power retractable hardtop, and its offered in Sport, Touring and Grand Touring trim levels. Our test car was a top-of-the-line Grand Touring retractable hardtop with an as-tested price of $31,300.

By modern standards, the Miata is a small car, measuring just 13 feet from end to end and standing just 49 inches tall.

The rear-wheel-drive Mazda Miata is one of those cars where you dont have to break any speed limits to have a lot of fun. With the six-speed manual it gets an EPA-estimated 21/28 mpg city/highway, and the city rating improves by 1 mpg with the base five-speed manual. Like the Mini, the Mazda Miata uses more expensive premium gas.

The Mazda Miatas low weight delivers ride and handling benefits, however. This helps with ride comfort on bumpy roads; for being a sporty car, the Mazda Miata doesnt punish its passengers with a jarring ride. As mentioned, our test car had the retractable-hardtop roof, and Mazdas implementation of this type of roof has a few advantages over those from other manufacturers.

Standard safety features include antilock brakes and side-impact airbags. Many affordable cars, by comparison, now have standard stability systems.

The Mazda Miata is one of those cars that were happy to see enter the Cars.com garage and sad to see go because it reminds us how much fun driving can be.
