2012 Mazda 5 Review

2012 Mazda 5
Mazda 5
Mazda 5 Summary
2012 Mazda 5 with a new style and new machinery, and give the buyer a small minivan alternative to the traditional model. Completely redesigned for 2012, the Mazda 5 is the latest evolution of the previous model. Highlights include less power, more comfort swoopier style seating.

Mazda 5 Exterior
2012 Mazda 5 is a row of three, six-passenger compact minivan are available in three trim levels: Sport, Touring and Grand Touring. Basic sport comes with a standard 16-inch alloy wheels, full power accessories, keyless entry, cruise control, automatic climate control (with rear vents and fan control), set the drivers seat height, tilt steering wheel-and-telescope and six-speaker sound system with CD player and additional sound jacks.

5 Touring adds 17-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, rear spoiler, leather-wrapped steering wheel, trip computer and Bluetooth. For a touring package adds the optional moon roof & Audio radios, satellite and six-CD changer sunroof. This package is a standard on Grand Touring 5, which also get automatic xenon lights, heated mirrors, automatic wipers, drivers lumbar adjustment, heated front seats and leather upholstery.

Mazda 5 Interior
Revised Mazda5 also includes a high-styled interior, although the holding is more than the current Mazda3. This is partly good: only a hood over the instrument, which increased to the point, it seems excessive. Nacelles Instruments protect from glare, so that the hood is not only futile, it also needs to show. Class one interesting detail: the red piping and stitching on black leather chair that Grand Touring. But the eye of the designer is still needed in other parts. Its too flat panel doors and center console is too plain and looks like an aftermarket accessory cheaper than the factory. Some work hard black plastic does not look cheap, but not many things that include 2012 Mazda5s interior. Overall, the interior of the C-Max is more interesting and better appointed, would be too stylish

Mazda 5 performance
Every 2012 Mazda 5 is powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that produces 157 horsepower and 163 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed manual standard on the Sport, while the five-speed automatic is optional on the Sport and standard on others. In Edmunds performance testing, 5 Grand Touring runs from zero to 60 mph in 9.5 seconds - slower than the minivan, SUV and compact are a lot of the most typical. With either transmission, fuel economy estimates of 21 mpg city/28 highway.

Mazda 5 Safety
Standard safety features include ABS brakes, side impact air bags for front seats, side curtain airbags for all three rows and an Electronic Stability.

As a material consideration
Mazda 5 2012 certainly is not for everyone. Some people really need the space is roomy, and there is something to be said for V6 power on hilly terrain or with a full load of people on board. Mazda 5 is also not available with certain features that are common to ordinary minivans, such as power-operated sliding doors, glass or factory-installed navigation and entertainment systems. In contrast, all-new 2012 Ford C-Max - also a mini minivan made on the same platform with the Mazda 5, which has all sorts of electronic features. However, the Mazda 5 has everything you need for passengers and cargo as well as enough space for most young families.

New BMW ActiveHybrid 5

 BMW Activehybrid 5
The BMW Activehybrid 5 features standard Driving Dynamics Control is an ECO PRO mode. BMW promises that despite all the eco features, this car still drives as well as the normal 5er. Double-wishbone front and integral rear suspensions, Servotronic speed-sensitive power steering, a high-performance brake system and 18-inch alloy wheels. Dynamic Damper Control, featuring electronically controlled shock absorbers, is available as an option. The Dynamic Stability Control system, which stabilizes the vehicle by individually applying the brakes and reducing engine power, also incorporates functions such as Dynamic Traction Control, the Anti-lock Braking System, Cornering Brake Control, Dynamic Brake Control, Brake Assist, Brake Fade Compensation, Brake Drying and Start-Off Assistant.

Yes, the ActiveHybrid 5 combines a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder with an electric drive system and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The electric motor produces an extra 55 horsepower, but the maximum output of whole powertrain is 340 hp.

Strangely, BMW has not released an exact economy figure for a car that’s all about economy, saying only that it “limits average fuel consumption to between 6.4 and 7.0 litres per 100 kilometers (44 – 40 mpg)”. But we can tell you the ActiveHybrid 5 emits 149 grams of CO2 per kilometer.

BMW decided to base the first hybrid version of the latest 5-Series on the 535i – not the wisest choice if youre targeting fuel efficiency and low emissions. The new 5er, which is identified by the "ActiveHybrid" badges and the bespoke alloy wheels, combines BMWs 300HP 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder with an electric drive system and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The electric motor delivers an output 55-horses and makes 155 lb-ft of torque available from rest.

BMW has not yet revealed pricing nor fuel economy figures for the hybrid version of the new 5-Series.
BMW added that the sedan also features ECO PRO mode, which switches off the combustion engine while coasting at speeds of up to 100 mph (160 km/h) to further improve fuel economy.

Coyote Cobra Superformance MKIII roadster powered by the Mustang’s 5 0L V8

lead spf 50 roadster 450x298 Coyote Cobra: Superformance MKIII roadster powered by the Mustangs 5.0L V8
We were smitten with the Coyote 5.0-liter V8 the second we got behind the wheel of the 2011 Ford Mustang GT. We described the 412 horsepower engine as “a pot of pure honey” as well as “intoxicating,” and said that the “5.0-liter V8 pulls like a jet airliner.” With a curb weight of just over 3,600 pounds, the Mustang GT is not as bloated as the Camaro, but by no means a lightweight. Would we like the 5.0L even more if it had less mass to push around?
That’s what Superformance had in mind with its latest creation. The maker of Shelby-licensed Cobra replicas has installed a Coyote 5.0-liter crate motor into one of its MKIII Roadsters, creating a combination of classic styling with the best of Ford’s modern powertrains. The engine wedges snugly into the front of the car, and only a custom air intake and headers are all that are needed to make everything fit.
We stopped by Superformance to get a closer look at the car, and came away with some photos and even some video of it in action. Check out the high-res gallery of the car below, and follow the jump to watch the video and hear what the Coyote 5.0-liter V8 sounds like without mufflers.

Mazda MX 5 Spyder Concept when the 2011 SEMA

Mazda MX-5 Spyder
Mazda MX-5 Spyder
At the 2011 SEMA this year, Mazda comes with two versions of the Roadster MX-5 concept, MX-5 Super20 and Spyder Concept.

The new MX-5 Spyder concept, which I showed yesterday. The biggest change is a snap in between the panels on the roof, which was designed by Mazda NA Top Systems Magna. Attached to the header above the glass like a normal and safe for the trunk with two buttons. Custom front clamp, with integrated LED running lights, as well as side skirts.

Because the Mazda MX-5 is the headlights, looking for places to shave pounds is a challenge. MX-5 Battery experiencing a change from the acid that causes lithium ions to lose weight, and fur-wheeler stock exchanged one set of Advan RS lightweight wheels fitted with Yokohama tires

Mazda MX-5 Spyder is a very sporty version of the Japanese sports car, features a panel of grenadine-red soft-top is made by Haartz, MNAO Design and Magna Car Top Systems. This car seems to distinguish by color thanks to the Stratosphere White

Mazda MX-5 Spyder, with the black wheels and black side skirts to increase the contrast. In it, the seats are covered in black leather with suede inserts dark gray and bright aluminum (what Mazda calls "Gray Metallic Spider Silk") that is used to cut the end of the interior.
