As a General Motors vehicle it did very well in terms of pleasing the large SUV fan. The hope was to create enough car like distinction for the Saturn Outlook to offset its rather cumbersome appearance otherwise. With more than 100 cubic feet of cargo room the Saturn Outlook is capable of seating eight real life people comfortably. While in motion the Saturn Outlook provides a nice even, smooth ride that eludes to having a smaller vehicle. Responsiveness isn’t its strongest characteristic, but the unibody frame does help to ensure that there is enough responsiveness to drive comfortably.

The Saturn Outlook was up against the standard full size SUVs in its class, making a marked difference on the sticker price. The Saturn Outlook was offered in two trim styles and each had the same basic safety equipment. The alloy wheels, heated outside mirrors, additional rear seat climate control features, power accessories, sound system that included stereo, CD player, MP3 plug in line, and satellite radio were standard equipment of both vehicles.
